We believe in change

The African Health and Empowerment and Advancement Foundation (AHEAF) is a non-governmental organization that strives to eliminate poverty and better the lives of those that are marginalized through services and projects. These services and projects are illustrated through the 3 main pillars of the organization. Using the ASA model of Bangladesh and the Grooming Center model of Nigeria, the 3 pillars are basis that will help to build individuals, especially women; build families, build communities and build Nigeria.

The 3 main pillars of AHEAF are:

  • Health.

  • Empowerment.

  • Advancement.

Health promotes healthy living to build a healthier community. By targeting the poor and marginalized, they can be well-oriented on health related issues that affect them and the methods that prevent and remedy these issues. They can also obtain access to comprehensive health care services.

Empowerment is the medium that uses microcredit loans as a means for people to either start or further their business. The economically active poor people will be taught how to be self-sufficient and independent.

Lastly, Advancement is the consulting arm of the organization. The consulting services work to ensure that effective partnerships and strengthened knowledge management systems are available and work for the poor.

To meaningfully contribute to the poverty reduction strategy across the African continent by ensuring that the most marginalized have access to knowledge and resources to enable them reach their fullest development potential.

Our Mission

Our Services

We conduct client mobilization, client counseling, credit and loan administration and also follow up and tracking. Our services are tailored to ensure that we not only track our clients for payback purposes, but we track them to ensure life-changing dynamics. We also conduct mobilization in communities that are at health risks. We go house-to-house giving information on the 16 key household practices that can help prevent and remedy health issues. We also create projects that raise awareness on key social, health, and economical issues. In relation to that, we develop and build upon the skills and knowledge of the marginalized.

AHEAF also has a pillar that deals primarily with governments and the private sector in providing technical assistance on strategies and guidelines that support high impact social investments that yield tangible results for the poor and marginalized. We advance knowledge gained from our community engagements to advocate for and assist government in developing strategies and guidelines that work towards fulfilling the rights of the most marginalized and the poor.
